Cartersville Cruise-in....

Vette ran like a dream....I got the clutch adjusted pretty good but it still didn't fix my downshift issues....I'm getting better at double clutching it to get it to downshift. Parked beside a real nice '74 also from Bartow County.

Finally it's done....

I guess my next project will be rear carpet and getting the compartment doors back in good shape. The Vette fought me the whole way but I kept my cool and just stayed focused. All turned out well.

Almost finished.....

The shifter console has to be the toughest part to get right on the whole car except maybe the paint....It's all down hill from here.

Getting closer....

Got the dash speakers, radio and center gauge cluster back in place....If the center shifter console doesn't give me too much trouble it's all downhill from here.

Finally putting an original radio back in....

Got it months ago for what ended up being about $25...Problem was the new one was a stereo unit and my car original only came with a mono unit. So I went searching for a new stereo convector...Ended up contacting an eBay seller that dealt with old school car audio and he found one with the electrical connection I needed to go with my new radio....Not cheap $75 but I was happy to get it.

Here are some of the parts and pieces that had to come out.....

Car cover

It fits pretty good....Is heavy duty and seems like it should hold up well.  It is bulky.

Some under the dash pics....

I dropped the passenger side dash so I could get to the convector/amp in order to test the radio....It works well and the birdcage under the dash looks to be in great shape.

Got some more interior pieces I needed....

$40 for the lot shipped.....I got some kick panels with good speakers and the parking brake trim I needed to finish the console up.

Drivers side hinge pins are finished....

Spent the better part of Saturday building a door holder and then pulled the door off on July 4th....I did chip the paint even though I was very careful....Oh well after  some touch up paint it will just blend in with the rest of the chips. The door lines up good and the glass doesn't hit anymore when shutting the door.
